Welcome back students!
Hope everyone had a great spring break! Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow to finish up your Book Cover Design project. I ran across this movie recently of Stanford students designing products to better the world. Pretty Interesting. Check out the link at Extreme By Design Movie.
The movie made me think of Objectified – a film by Gary Huswit who also produced Helvetica. If you haven’t seen these movies, they are worth the watch! Also – reminded me of the amazing Cooper Hewitt Design Museum – I love their Object of the Day idea.
Do you have any ideas for re-designing a product? Or designing a whole new product?
Speaking of cool and new products, check out Hans Fex’s Kickstarter page for his Mini Museum… I love this idea! Who doesn’t want a pocket sized collection of rare specimens? Too bad my price points are sold out!
Just passing things along.

Spring Break: Going out of town?
Hey students,
Next week is spring break… Anyone going anywhere exciting? If you are, and are flying out of Palm Beach International Airport, check out my mixed media piece at the PBIA Gallery. It’s up from February 26 through June 25!
Other great art happenings include new exhibits at the Norton Museum or come visit me at Whitespace Collection. I am working on Sunday, March 9 – Whitespace Collection is a hidden gem in our community, a private collection of over 3000 square feet of contemporary art. Come visit me and I’ll give you a private tour!
Just keeping you posted. Enjoy the week off… get some rest!
This weekend: Street Painting Festival in downtown Lake Worth!
If you haven’t ever been to the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival – you are missing out! It’s this weekend! See you there.
Check out the website here. Check out the Design Club’s 2012 field trip to the chalk fest.
